Not quite home from my vacation

Last Tuesday my sweetheart and I "vacated" to Palm Springs for the first time (along with six close friends). Needless-to-say, a good time was had by all. Sun, warm weather, delicious food, hikes, bike rides, swimming, great conversations . . . I am now totally relaxed. There were so many photo opportunities - everything looked new and amazing to me. The desert is enchanting.

Joshua Tree National Park - a rock wonderland

Joshua Tree bloom

boulders abound

The pool was equally captivating. We flew home on Sunday to Seattle's stormy weather . . . sigh. Leaves that were barely opening when we left were in full bloom - green is everywhere. But since it's still raining and cool, I'll hold this image close until our summer begins.

  1. HI Maude, found your blog from the creative life- I love your photos and your blog. I went to Palm Springs and Joshua tree a year ago, my husband thought it was too hot but I love the sun. It is 40 and raining here in Idaho. Thanks for sharing.pam

  2. Hi Pam - thanks for visiting and your kind comments - it's fun to take photographs and show some of my work.

Luckily when we visited Joshua Tree the weather was quite nice (since we'd been braving the rotten Seattle weather for so long, warm temperatures were what we were seeking).

It's raining here again - but I know the sun will shine. Please visit again! I'm going to Paris in early May (to see my daughter) and I am looking forward to taking zillions of photos!
