I'm finding my way back to the Land of Blog . . . When I last posted I had totally intended to drop my laptop off at the mac store (it's got some weird stuff going on) and start reposting ASAP . . . but as per usual, life got in the way. At least in my little world, the economy seems to be getting better . . . I've got a ton of work and most of it's interesting.
Spent the last couple of days with Barbara Setsu Pickett, a dear friend and my former textile professor at the University of Oregon. We had a lot to catch up on (after 25+ years). Besides eating great food and drinking good wine, we saw a wonderful exhibit at the BAM (Bellevue Art Museum) and visited the U District Saturday Market where I bought these awesome 'purple haze' carrots (which were delicious). Seeing Barbara's amazing silk velvet and shibori was very inspiring and I'm bursting with new creative ideas.

Now it's back to the studio to work. Don't know when the computer will get fixed, but I've figured out how to get my phone photos to the laptop so I should be able to post more frequently.
