Savoring the beauty of what's left . . .

loved this horse's spots

We recently visited our friend's farm in Alabama . . . The Tasteful Garden. George and Cindy grow organic heirloom tomatoes and other vegetable starts, selling via the internet. Although totally captivated by beauty of their farm and it's inhabitants, I was also drawn to the leavings – what's left behind when plants are finished sharing. Having always been a pushover for wrinkled flowers, petals and the fragility of growing things, I find capturing their faded glory very important. I did take of pix of the live stuff, too, and ate lots delicious tomatoes!
