Snow day walk – beautiful patterns everywhere

robins were everywhere - chirping away

Our afternoon walk to Office Max (for folders to sort my accumulated receipts) afforded opportunities to see so many enchanting patterns created by the accumulated snow. Even the more pedestrian (and ugly) elements of our industrial neighborhood became beautiful and interesting. Plants' structures were highlighted, and common architectural forms were transformed into objects of art. It was wonderful. Now it's raining and everything will soon return to normal - beauty hidden until the next snow.

palms become even more pointy

slush resembles ice cream

picket fence posts are transformed into stately spires

a wood pallet peeks out of the snow

cast iron drains become important

"we" - part of sewer, but I like this better
